According to Nortel Networks, Positron Public Safety Systems was instrumental in setting up the most comprehensive public safety test environment during the certification process. This allowed Nortel Networks to recreate real world conditions during their certification process, a first for them. Positron's Power 911 with Nortel Networks communications platforms architecture is unique in its use of a redundantly-configured Life Line 100 E9-1-1 ANI/ALI controller. The controller offers significant advantages, such as NENA standard interfaces, a backup mechanism to PBX failure and 9-1-1 specific functionality that resides entirely outside the PBX.
